The Cronulla JRL are excited to announce its new HEAD START program which will supply free headgear for all new under 6 registered players starting in season 2023.
This exciting initiative is made possible by our inaugural sponsors - Shire Steel and Experience Sport. The intention is for the Cronulla JRL to continue this program into the future providing headgear to all new under 6 participants providing piece of mind to parents and children learn to tackle properly as well as complimenting the NSWRL's tackle ready program which all new under 6 players will participate in as part of their onboarding into the sport.
Nathan Waugh, Chairman of the Cronulla JRL went on to add "With the safety and well-being of our youngest players being a priority, the Head Start program is a fantastic opportunity afforded to us through generous and new commercial partnerships. Supplying headgear to our earliest starters would not have been achieved without the support of long-term junior league friend in Russell Lewis from Shire Steel and also Experience Sport, the suppliers of the new head gear”.
