Last Saturday the mighty u14 Girls rugby league team from Como took on a formidable Arncliffe Scots in the Elimination Final at PointsBet Stadium. From the opening whistle the Como girls ran riot using their speed to carve up the Arncliffe defense.
By half time the Como girls had put on close to 40 points taking an unassailable lead into the half-time break.
In the second half the Crocs took their foot off the accelerator somewhat allowing and the Arncliffe girls rallied to put on a few tries and the game finished up with a convincing 58-18 victory for the home side.
The Como girls now move into the Grand Final this weekend to take on the Taren Point Titans in what will be a local derby to decide the season.
Como lost to Taren Point in the semi-finals a couple of weeks ago going down 34-20. Taren Point will have the home ground advantage with the Grand Final set-down to be played at Gwawley Oval this Saturday, 27 August 2022 @ 1:10pm.
