Cronulla JRL Seniors go the Grapple with Blocker

The Cronulla Junior Rugby League (CJRL) is proud to announce a new partnership with Block and Grapple, an exciting new range of beers produced by the Marsden Brewhouse.

Driven by the passion of legendary prop forward Steve “Blocker” Roach, the Block and Grapple objective is to direct 10% of all profits back to grassroots Rugby League.

CJRL is one of the first Rugby League districts to form a relationship with Block and Grapple, and the partnership will be a great example of how grassroots Rugby League clubs can be a part of driving sales of the Block and Grapple range in their districts, in both packaged product and on-tap forms. The partnership will see Block and Grapple become a preferred supplier to CJRL and its affiliated clubs and a sponsor of the CJRL's Power Waste Management Cup and Senior Competions.

Steve “Blocker” Roach was excited to announce the new relationship. “Clubs that support our relationship with Cronulla JRL and sell the Block and Grapple range at their clubhouse bars and events, and help us engage more people in supporting the Block and Grapple brand more broadly, will benefit not only with their own strong bars sales but through the re-direction of 10% of profits in that district to grassroots Rugby League” Roach said.

“I know that clubs work hard to fund their operations and keep teams playing our great game, and to now see this new Block and Grapple range come to life and give us the opportunity to support grassroots Rugby League with some really meaningful financial returns, is fantastic” Roach added.

The CJRL currently has 13 affiliated clubs and grew to over 5600 participants in 2023, which places CJRL as one of the largest Rugby League districts in the country.
