As Cronulla Junior Rugby League continues to grow, we seek well-motivated individuals to help assist us promote community Rugby League, support our clubs, members and partners in season 2022.
Qualified individuals will be self-starters with the ability to work both independently, as well as in a group setting. This will be a flexible working position, with interns expected to be available some nights and weekends throughout the competition season. Cronulla JRL has two (2) opportunities available to the right candidate(s) in the areas of media and sports administration.
Media Responsibilities:
Editing, creating, and posting content to different social media platforms
Ability to write content for website articles promoting Rugby League
Assist with the production of content plan that focuses on driving brand awareness for the Cronulla JRL, its sponsors, and stakeholders
Capacity to take action and still photos
Helping media campaigns to reach a wider audience, whilst increasing awareness
Sports Administration Responsibilities:
Assist weekly competition administration such as registrations, team sheets, draws and competition compliance
Assist in office administration duties such as ordering of equipment, booking of grounds and the logistics of Cronulla JRL programs
Support the coordination of community Rugby League activities
Requirements
Currently studying undergraduate majoring in social media, public relations, communications for the media role and sports administration/development or related field for the sports administration role
Possess excellent written and verbal communication
Possess ability to multi-task and coordinate
Passion for Rugby League and community sport
Ability to work with little or no supervision.
Self-motivated and disciplined
Familiar with various platforms i.e., Microsoft 365, Facebook, Instagram, Wix website development, My Sideline, etc.
Working with Children Certificate (WWCC)
Current driver’s licence and transport

About Cronulla JRL
Cronulla JRL services community Rugby League within the Sutherland Shire. In 2021 we had over 5,500 participants which represents a growth over nearly 2,000 participants over the past 6 years. The district is home to 14 Junior League clubs, a referee’s association and also has the assistance of an estimated 1,500 volunteers. Cronulla Junior Rugby League has a close association with the Cronulla Sharks and are currently based at their home ground Points Bet Stadium in Woolooware.
