DRINKS BREAKS & TRAINER RULES

There are a number of changes to Rugby League in Season 2020 as a result of COVID-19. Please take the time to read the following rules which apply to Drinks Breaks and Trainers this season.


TRAINERS


  1. NO TRAINER IS TO ADMINISTER WATER TO PLAYERS UNTIL THE 2 MIN DRINKS BREAK.

  2. TRAINERS MAY ENTER THE FIELD TO TEND TO AN INJURED PLAYER.

  3. TRAINERS MAY ENTER FIELD TO INFORM A PLAYER HE IS BE INTERCHANGED. TRAINER MUST EXIT THE FIELD IMMEDIATELY AFTER INFORMING THE PLAYER AND MUST NOT COACH WHILST ON THE FIELD.

  4. THE TRAINER MAY TAKE THE KICKING TEE OUT FOR CONVERSIONS AND RESTARTS OF PLAY.

DRINKS BREAKS


  1. PLAYERS AND OFFICIALS MUST STAY IN THE FIELD OF PLAY FOR THE DRINKS BREAK.

  2. COACHES ARE NOT TO ENTER THE FIELD AT DRINKS BREAKS ONLY TRAINERS TO ADMINISTER WATER.

  3. GROUND MANAGERS ARE INSTRUCTED TO TELL COACHES TO RETURN TO THE BENCH IF THEY ENTER THE FIELD OF PLAY AT DRINKS BREAKS.

  4. THIS IS A SHORT BREAK AND EFFORTS MUST BE MADE TO RESTART THE GAME ON TIME.

  5. AFTER A DRINKS BREAK THE GAME IS RESTARTED FROM THE WHERE THE LAST PLAY WAS STOPPED.
