On Grand Final Sunday under sunny skies the Gymea Gorillas were first up on Shark Park taking on the Kingsgrove Colts for the Southern u18 Gold premiership.
The match was hard fought with the quality of football and determination from both teams being extremely high. The score line remained close throughout the match and with Kingsgrove finishing strongly, the Gorilla's had to to dig deep defensively to hold out multiple raids on the try line from the Colts.
At the final hooter it was Gymea hanging on to win the title with a hard fought 18-16 victory. Both teams should be extremely proud of their seasons and their Grand Final performances with this match being one of the highlights across the Cronulla JRL GF weekend of matches.
