Finals Beckon for Sharks Girls as SG Ball Finish Strong in final round of Jnr Reps

The Sharks Junior Representative season concluded on Good Friday at Ocean Protect Stadium, with finals spots secured for both the Lisa Fiaola and Tarsha Gale girls sides with solid victories over the Raiders. It was also a strong finish to the season for the SG Ball Sharks who made it back-to-back wins to close out their season.

In a day that marked the end of the regular season, the Sharks recorded three wins from four matches, with the Lisa Fiaola Cup and Tarsha Gale Cup teams advancing to the finals, while the SG Ball Cup side closed their campaign with back-to-back victories.

Lisa Fiaola Cup

With everything on the line, the Lisa Fiaola Sharks delivered when it mattered most, defeating the Raiders 30–4 to secure the final spot in the top four.

In a do-or-die clash, the Under 17s produced a composed and physical performance, controlling the game from start to finish to keep their season alive and book a place in the finals.

Tarsha Gale Cup

The Tarsha Gale Sharks also locked in a finals berth, overcoming the Raiders 22–10 to confirm a top-four finish.

Without captain Koffi Brookfield, the Sharks showed resilience and composure to grind out the result in a high-pressure match. The win ensures the side earns a second chance in the finals series.

Harold Matthews Cup

The Harold Matthews Cup Sharks brought their season to a close, going down 38–8 to a Raiders side pushing for finals contention.

While the Sharks showed glimpses late, they spent much of the contest under pressure as Canberra controlled field position. The result marks the end of the 2026 campaign for the Under 17 boys.

SG Ball Cup

The SG Ball Sharks finished their season on a positive note, recording a 36–14 victory to make it back-to-back wins.

In their final game of the year, the Sharks were strong defensively and confident in attack, closing out their campaign with a performance that reflected their determination to finish on a high.
