The Sharks Junior Representative sides recorded mixed results in Round 8 of the NSWRL Junior Representative season, taking on the Penrith Panthers at St Marys Leagues Stadium, with one win from four matches heading into the final round.

Lisa Fiaola Cup

The Lisa Fiaola Sharks produced a competitive performance but were unable to match the Panthers over the full 60 minutes, going down 32–16.

Cronulla remained in the contest throughout the first half, trailing by just four points at the break. However, a fast start from Penrith after halftime created a gap that proved too difficult to close. The result leaves the Sharks’ finals hopes hinging on a must-win Round 9 clash against Canberra.

Tarsha Gale Cup

It was a narrow and disappointing result for the Tarsha Gale Sharks, who fell 24–22 in the final moments.

In a tightly contested match, the Sharks looked set to secure another win before Penrith crossed late to snatch victory. The loss was made tougher with captain Koffi Brookfield leaving the field injured in the closing stages. Despite the setback, the Sharks remain well placed heading into the final round.

Harold Matthews Cup

The Harold Matthews Cup side faced a strong Panthers outfit and were defeated 42–20.

The Sharks competed throughout but were unable to match Penrith’s speed and execution, particularly during key periods of the game. With one round remaining, the focus shifts to finishing the season strongly.

SG Ball Cup

The standout result of the day came from the SG Ball Sharks, who secured a convincing 26–10 victory.

A dominant first half, built on strong completions and control of field position, saw Cronulla take a 22–0 lead into halftime. While the second half was more even, the Sharks maintained their advantage to claim their second win of the season.
