It was a spectacular start for the NRLW Sharks, winning their round one match over the Canberra Raiders in front of a large and enthusiastic crowd at PointsBet Stadium.
Fielding a team with a number of local juniors and players to have come through the Sharks female pathways, the Sharks were impressive in recording a 28-16 victory.
Now in continuing to build their junior representative pathways while looking to ensure a competitive NRLW team in the years to come, the Sharks are inviting applications from players, and staff, to be involved in the under-17 Lisa Fiaola and under-19 Tarsha Gale Cup teams in 2024.
Winners of the Tarsha Gale Cup in 2018, with current NRLW players Quincy Dodd and Talei Holmes members of that successful Sharks team, the Cronulla club aim to build from within in providing opportunity for local athletes and those coming through the Sharks academy system.
Trial applications close on Sunday, August 27, with successful applicants to be notified of the venue, date and time of the trial. Further information regarding what to bring and what is expected will be communicated to those granted a spot in the trial.
All information regarding the trials will be sent via email, while submitting a nomination form does not guarantee participation, with the trials by invite only.
For players looking to apply to trial and play for the Sharks Harvey Norman Women's NSW Premiership team (open age), a nomination form will be made available at a later date.
Please stay tuned to Sharks website and media channels for more information.
