Sharks Skills Development Program

Updated: Feb 21, 2022

It's back again! After a hugely successful pre-season program last year, the Cronulla Sharks will again be hosting the Sharks Skills Development Program at #PointsBet Stadium.

Participants will be joined by special guest coaches including players past, present & some of our future stars. Entering its 7th year, the program will be once again hosted at PointsBet Stadium this year in a move which allows participants to experience the same training environment and facilities as the Sharks #NRL squad.

The program runs for four sessions over 4 weeks and is the perfect preparation for the upcoming Junior League season, having been updated with an intensive focus on tackling technique, safe body positioning and core skills.

It is ideal for both beginners as well as experienced players, both boys and girls aged between 5 and 12, who are looking to further enhance their skill development.

SDP has been designed by Cronulla Sharks Academy and Talent Identification Manager Glenn Brailey, who currently takes responsibility for the entire Sharks Junior Reps Program and has been directly involved with the coaching of the Harold Matthews Cup, Winter Academy and Development squads.

The Sharks are committed to providing this professional program to all juniors seeking to improve their Rugby League skills and techniques, firm in the belief a safe and correct tackling technique is an important aspect of Junior Rugby league

Not only does the program ensure each participant is taught effective techniques, players will also be analysed by the collection of high-level coaches to guarantee the outcomes of the program are being achieved.
