After a gutsy win over the Illawarra Steelers to claim a Finals berth, the season goes on the line once again for the Matthews Cup Sharks when they tackle the Parramatta Eels in an elimination Finals match.
The Sharks showed plenty of determination to beat the Steelers and jump the Illawarra side to grab a playoff berth and with the Easter weekend to rest up will be ready to go for the Finals clash which is scheduled for a 10am kick-off at Campbelltown Stadium on Saturday.
The Eels finished in third position after the nine round regular season with six wins and two losses (one bye), the Sharks sixth following five wins, a draw and two losses. The two teams didn’t meet during the season.
The SG Ball and Tarsha Gale Sharks failed to qualify for the Finals series.
The Sharks v Eels Matthews Cup match is the first of six games to be played at Campbelltown Stadium on Saturday.
